Biblical Teaching for Christian Homes.

Family

God created Adam and Eve and blessed them.

God laid the principle of leaving, cleaving and becoming one.

Unity in the couple is the ultimate plan of God for the couple.

And God appointed the Husband as the head of the house and the wife as the partner and helper to the husband. The husband and wife, individually must have a relationship with God and must be growing spiritually. It is very important that a believer must be married to a believer ( only then they can be yoked together).

The Christian family is a miniature of the Church. Most of the principles laid out for the church also implies to the family.

Husband - love your wife as Christ loved the Church.

Wife - submit and respect your husband as the Church submits to Christ.

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
God created woman to be a helpmeet fit for man. She is created that man and woman together bring completeness. Wife should accept husband's authority as the head of the house.

1 Peter 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Submission to Husbands

3 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the [a]incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.

A wife must practice a gentle and quiet spirit which is very precious in God's sight.
